Dr. David Brahinsky will open the program with a lecture about Dr. Rabbi Heschel, one of the greatest and most well-known Jewish philosophers of his time. Following the lecture, Brahinsky and the Roosevelt String Band will play a lively performance of Jewish folk songs by artists like Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, and Sy Kahn.
